so i tried playing prototype on my pc today and even though it lags like an old biddy on a zimmer, i can tell its awesome. My question is can anyone give me some pointers on upgrading cheaply so that i can run new games at least on lowest settings without lag>?

Here is my specs: (i know its messy but i dont care :P )

id upgrade the


motherboard, cpu and gfx card :)

could probably get decent enough parts for less than £150


you can get motherboard cpu bundles from misco from like £50 :)

wavy recomended a site where i can get a decent pc for 320 squid, so i think ill save up and get that. im too much of a noob to be arseing about in my pc :D

Best bet would be upgrading CPU and GFX card, and to do that you'll need to get a new motherboard.

Honestly, installing new components is way easier than you think. If you are really desperate, find a friend or someone like that who can help you out.
Buy the components below would give you a massive performance increas for a pretty good price too.

A premade PC wouldn't come close to that performance/price mark.

my mate and i are on the AGP slots lol, am on Pentium P4 2.8 ghz, and so is he, yesterday he bought the ATI 3850HD and i have yet to see it run, i am well aware of my FPS, all i gotta do now lol, is run CSS/L4D on his pc , and i 'll let ya know if its worth buying, its about £85 but supports DX 10 :) and can decode blue rays or summat :)

2 year return to base warrranty and free delivery on orders over £50.
ive been using them since 1999 when i lived in shetland and never had a problem.
