Well yea, just had some sort of weird Problem.

Earlier tonight, i decided to turn the Pc of and go watch some TV. As i was about to turn the PC off, it had to install some Windows Updates, so i let it do it. Well, TV was boring so after around 2 hours i decided to get on the PC again.

After it was done starting, everything was gone. Like, the Desktop was clean, no wallpaper anymore. No Files on the Desktop at all. Like everything gone. Steam did not start up. I clicked Steam like 10 times and it did not start. Totally ran out of ideas. Kinda got the feeling it had to be some sort of Virus.

So i decided to set the date of the PC 2 days back. This worked so far. All the files are back and so is the Wallpaper.

Anyways, now when i want to start Steam i get this:

Fatal Error: Could not load module 'bin/vgui2_s.dll'

Any ideas? On both problems? Maybe someone had something like this before or heard of it.

Thanks in advance

Steam Problem is solved. Tried a couple of options that i found on the Steam Forums. None helped.

Just deleted the file vgui2.dll and it worked. The other thing is still weird though.

IF it is genuine then the problem was probably down to something hanging on startup as a result of the updates - it was probably stopping Explorer.exe initialising properly. Seen it before but it was a very specific cause
