Thanks everyone.
I am brimming with pride no one knows what he's been through, he's a fighter and it shows. he inspires me everyday.
I nearly lost him before he was born, then when he was born he nearly died. then at 6months i rush him to hospital cos hes going blue - doctors say im overfeeding him and want to send me home. i would not move until they ran tests, where we find he has a hole in his heart. In nursery he was struggling -found out he's partialy deaf, needed grommits fitting. then at 7 im told he has behaviour issues and he gets diagnosed with ADHD and TOURRETTES. He's not the "media typical" adhd kid, he's well balanced, polite, respectful, caring and getting A grades at school. he does require help with his reading and writing but his artistic side is amazing.
When he started boxing we noticed his life change for the better, he had more focus, less fidgity- spoke my concerns with the doctors he sees about boxing and they too said they had noticed a difference while he was boxing and to keep it up as he enjoyed it and it also calmed him down.
Yes stelf the first time i watched him spar in his gym i wanted to jump in the ring and knock ten bells out of the kid who hit him....but... i saw the determination in my son and i knew he wanted this. my own feelings have to be put aside. I had a car crash in sept 2011, and he ended up being kicked out the gym he was going to because he had so much time off (8month) due to whiplash. he was so upset so i went to take him to another gym, he started the new gym and within 9 month hes in the ring at his first match.
He won the match with a majority win. i couldn't be prouder of him.
12 years old..he
trains at the gym for 2 hours 3 times a week
does a mile run everyday, timed and trying to do a 4 min mile (11mins best time so far)
strict healthy eating diet- no pop/crisps/chocolate. ( didnt eat one easter egg until after his fight)

even i don't have the stamina for that and im 36 lol.
