I cant get this to work at all I have installed flash player and also the plugin and installed that into my cstrike folder and it still wont work.
Any suggestions anyone

can you check to see if HTML/MOTD is set to disabled? it needs to be unchecked.
start the game, go to options then multiplayer then the advanced tab.

have checked html/motd and it is enabled (i.e unchecked)

It will be the flash player then, steam uses internet explorer so make sure you have the IE version of flashplayer

I already have adobe flash for IE as its built in to the browser in Winblows 8 and it still don't work

You might want to try switching between 64 and 32 bit modes for IE on Windows 8.
Coming across quite a few flash pages that don't work too well with the inbuilt flash - they beefed up security for it.

I'll try it myself at some point and see if I can get it to spring into life.

It's working for me on Windows 8 Pro 64 bit. I set IE to be my default browser instead of firefox and its fine.
