Hi all i'm having a real bitch of a time with my ping on the gg server, every other server i have a ping of 33ms average, but gg server my ping is 230ms +, i have tried all sorts but no joy if any one can help please send me a message !!

P.S i live 2 hours away from london where gg server is!!!

can you try something for me ..go into multiplayer tab and uncheck auto sync to steam cloud option... let me know if makes a diff.

Tried it, reduced ping to average of 140ms

have you tried defragment the files on css and verify the game on steam css library and right click propertys of css ?

i think its to do with all the issues with out london based server, its affecting a few london based peoples too, yet when they connect to other servers its ok

Just tried the GG to test it and my ping is 30/33 so no problem from this part of london.

Similar results on both the DM and normal servers.

Yep, defragged css files and whole computer, also verified game on steam.

Thought i had sorted the problem out, as i had been played css gg all day with no ping problems at all, but i just tried to go on gg server and my ping was 350ms WTF, it has to be to do with someone logging onto the server or the server itself, just about had enough of this !!!

LOLZ ... sorry i cant help its just funny to see someone else having issues with CSS, i have had my fair share of gaming issues

Have you tried pinging the gg server from your command prompt? If the latency is high when you ping from the command prompt then the problem is network related and probably something to do with your router or ISP. If the latency is low from the command prompt, then the problem lies within the game.

If you don't know what I'm going on about, hit the 'Windows Key + R', type CMD and hit enter.
Then put the following in the command prompt:

and hit enter.

Let me know what the 'time=' part of the output is.
