if yer on tripple buffered, and yer gettin 60 fps without crashes........ leave it :) don't fix it if it aint broke............ but that is why you only getting 60fps jason, as opposed to yer CSS ya might be (or ya hear other people) getting 150 fps......... if ya wanna know wot ya can run L4D2 at, turn it off, and personally it really depends on yer setup. If yer geetin prbos with it ON, turn it OFF and vise versa

So is it normal for Steam not to recognise your graphic card?

lol, just read most of it...... here's the most important bit :)
If you're playing a game that has a framerate that routinely stays above your refresh rate, then VSync will generally be a good thing. However if it's a game that moves above and below it, then VSync can become annoying. Even worse, if the game plays at an FPS that is just below the refresh rate (say you get 65FPS most of the time on a refresh rate of 75Hz), the video card will have to settle for putting out much less FPS than it could (37.5FPS in that instance). This second example is where the percieved drop in performance comes in. It looks like VSync just killed your framerate. It did, technically, but it isn't because it's a graphically intensive operation. It's simply the way it works.

idk.......... my OS doesnt recognise my CPU..... says i need to have a BIOS update (but thats another story, and it gets complicated lol) but my pc still runs fine :)
Steam not recognising yer card is fine, aslong as ya getting good fps and its not crashing, ya could update drivers etc then be throw into CRASH HELL... leave it lol, it'll make ya angry :P

i read most of it, and as far as am aware its todo with yer Hz of yer TV/Monitor and drawing pictures on it :D
