nothing wrong with it in my opinion. The ingame chat is wank, shit buttons to get yer chat with friends thingy up. as for rooting through my HDD, i dont have any UBER SENSATIVE stuff on my HDD, I SAVE TI ALL TO MY PRON STICK

.. but on a serious note, what they do with my HDD doesnt bother me... its purely for marketing. The game i think is 10/10, Origin is about 6/10, coz as sammeh says , its till in beta as far as i'm concerned......... but as a whole, i'd rather play a Great game and let some pisseh arsed overexagerated spyware run riot on my HDD............ other than be on COD MW3

It actually still is in beta, it says at the top of the client

Taken from Origin EULA, apart from the wording its basically the same thing that Steam says

If this where the case they wouldn't add the second part to the ToS "We may, however, share anonymous, non-personal, aggregated and/or public information with third parties." because it wouldn't be necessary.
