Any you guys n girls got it?... what do you think of origin being able to sniff about your pc and sell sensative data to third comapnies?..Was thinking BF3 or MW3 no way would i entertain loosing my rights as an individual to some sort of snooping software which sniffs about your pc like origin.. it's more like a phishing bit of software.... on the plus side Tesco is doing MW3 for 20 quid...

Thats not what the consumers who bought the game said........Origin do sell the info on..... Steam only scans you files folders pc if you allow it. If you click system information then you should expect it to scan your pc then....

sorry if it's again but i didn't read the first one.....

EA will never share your personal information with third parties without your consent. We may, however, share anonymous, non-personal, aggregated and/or public information with third parties.

Taken from Origin EULA, apart from the wording its basically the same thing that Steam says

maybe it is similar.. but you don't see people complaining as much about steam as you do as in BF3, it's just out an already theres a large number people complaining and already quiting the game..

Its mainly due to people not actually knowing what is in the ToS, because no one actually reads it, there was a statement in it that some people interpreted in a way that was "EA scans your computer and sells it all, they don't care to who". This spread and now its "general knowledge", even if its all half truths, as you can see in the text I took straight from the ToS

A lot of people are quitting BF3 (even if it is very exaggerated) because they don't like the game, not because of Origin.

I don't like Origin because I think it is a poor mans steam, it doesn't work very well, and it is still in Beta stage

You don't hear about people complaining that much about steam because now origin is here so the flock has moved to that instead. You do realise people have been complaining about pretty much everything that has to do with steam over the years?
