I'm sorry dude but no. Just NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I can put up with most things but that lot? No f'ing way man. Schlock pop rock at it's worst!

Personally I prefer bands and artists that write music for the sake of music and not just to fit their place in the market. Some pop is OK but it is normally transient and gone in a short space of time. True artists reach across generations and keep giving to people regardless of their genre.

cant believe nobody has mentioned xfactor yet!
personally, i hve no problems with autotune, i see it as just another effect added to sound to make it better. what you sing or play in the studio is always mixed for a better result. vocals, guitars and drum sounds recorded live almost always have their tones altered in post production. 1 can play a 2005 mapex kit in the studio and when the final edit is done, it will sould like a 1960's ludwig kit. snare drums are always run in an autotune to make sure the note sound and note length is always correct for the track. using this stuff dont make you a bad musician, it just makes a better product.
as for some of the music created nowdays, if there is a market for it then make it. Bryan Adams first made disco records before he did the stuff you know him for. i played on pretty much every musical genre but love to play punk, metal, rock, funk etc. some of the stuff i played on "out of my genre" blew me away.
if you want to hear how good a musicain or singer really is, go see them do an acoustic set
