May be a long shot but have you tired doing it with all USB devices disconnected a PS/2 keyboard and PS/2 mouse?
Could be your mouse that's dicking it up.

Just got online a bit and saw this post......

idk mate it was working fine last time i used to to abuse Finduz and shut down like normal after that?????
