Just wanted to post a wee blurb saying that I'll no longer be a part of SSDi. After being told my behaviour is unacceptable it's best I should probably leave. I've said to a few people already that I've not found the clan / server atmosphere as fun as when I joined, but maybe it's just me!

Anyway, I'll not delve into too much detail, add me on Steam if you want to keep in touch, no doubt I'll still come on the server from time to time (unless I've been banned of course!)

See ya!

A post has been made in the clan member area!
You were asked to leave cos you made light of what I was telling you.
Repeated requests to stop swearing and stop reconnecting were met with little more than a flippant "I cant help it I'm scottish"

That is unacceptable on the SSDi servers and you know it! You know the rules, you were asked repeatedly to stop swearing by a senior clan member and muted more than once but still continued.

We should not have to police our own members.

Best of luck with whatever you do!

SK

Yes I made light of what you were saying because I find the way you were acting hilarious. You weren't there, you're going by what others said. I said that 'it's because I'm Scottish' because it's true, granted Bob and Wavy seem to not swear a lot, but I'm sure 90% of the others who join are just like me (example, a guy called Steevo on the server right now).

Whenever I was asked to stop swearing, I did so. How could I swear again when I was muted? I couldn't? Exactly.

I find it all a bit hilarious, it's a game, it's a bit of fun, get off your high horse and enjoy it. No one was complaining for 99% of it, and when Wavy PM'd and asked me to stop, I did, same with reconnecting - although at the time I was just trying to clear my awful score, and tonight I did it once to see if it would unmute me.

I didn't want to post this spiel, but your reply baited me in. It's ashame as I really enjoy most of the people on the server, so I'll likely still be about, just not tagged up.

Good night!

True I was not there this evening but I was asked to have a word with you after Wavy's attempts at stopping your bad behaviour fell on deaf ears. I trust my senior members 100% in what they are telling me and this information was also backed up by other members.

That is entirely acceptable if you follow the rules.

The reason for the swearing rule is that when people come onto the server and hear people swearing they often just disconnect and find another server. For a server to stay busy and to stay populated we need to keep this behaviour to a MINIMUM and expect our clan members to set an example, not be some of the worst offenders.

But my point all along is to change the rule from excessive swearing to no swearing at all and that would solve any issues. Excessive swearing is too vague as excessive to me is saying C U Next Tuesday etc etc, saying 'oh for fuck sake' 'aw fuck off' etc etc, isn't to me, but clearly is to other admin.

Anyway, enough replies. Goodnight (again)

You're missing the point, you were asked to stop by a senior member more than once and you didn't. After Wavy left the server you still reverted back to form, ie you maybe thought if no admin was on then anything goes?

Clan members need to set an example, you did not!

The point is, you claim to have stopped when asked, ie by that statement you CAN play without swearing so the whole "I cant help it I'm scottish" statement was a complete lie.
In reality you were muted again by another clan member after Wavy had spoken to you via steam and left the server, ie didn't actually stop, just until Wavy left.

Also you stated this above:
Crush {l Wrote}:
..........and tonight I did it once to see if it would unmute me.

So by that admission you were trying to evade the remedial tactic the admin used to stop you swearing,.......... so tell me again that you did nothing wrong,............ and I'll laugh my ass off!

Just to clear a few things up here,
When crush re-appeared on the sever I got him to put the tags back on right away because there had never been any problems with him in the past. We have done the same for many members who come back after a period of non activity.
When He started playing again on the GG server he said the C word and both myself and another member (possilby flic?) told him then that it was not acceptable to say that and also constant swearing was discouraged. He has been warned many times that swearing especially swearing at people is not allowed. To sat to someone "fuck off" or "you can fuck right off" after they kill you is not acceptable.
He did this twice within minutes of joining the server so I muted him for 30 mins.
This was the steam convo after it:
{l Quote}:
Wavy: you need to stop the reconnecting, people been banned for it
Crush | Angry Scotsman: im just trying to reset my score
Crush | Angry Scotsman: :(
Crush | Angry Scotsman: :(
Crush | Angry Scotsman: :(
Crush | Angry Scotsman: :(
Crush | Angry Scotsman: :(
Crush | Angry Scotsman: :(
Crush | Angry Scotsman: :9
Crush | Angry Scotsman: :(
Crush | Angry Scotsman: :(
Crush | Angry Scotsman: unmute me
Crush | Angry Scotsman: :(
Crush | Angry Scotsman: :(
Crush | Angry Scotsman: :(
Wavy: is only for 30 mins
Crush | Angry Scotsman: I cant cope that long
Wavy: you need to stop telling folks to fuck off :(
Crush | Angry Scotsman: cant help it
Crush | Angry Scotsman is now playing Counter-Strike: Source. Click here to join.
Crush | Angry Scotsman: bugger, rejoining doesnt help
Crush | Angry Scotsman is now playing Counter-Strike: Source. Click here to join.
Wavy: you unmuted yet?
Crush | Angry Scotsman: aye got Miss G to when you went offline lol

After i left the server he managed to convince Kerry to unmute him, He continued to swear and was muted again by Kerry.
Now I don't mind if someone lets slip a few swear words now and again but to keep telling people to fuck off is not acceptable. The excuse "it's because I am Scottish" makes all us Scots on the server look stupid.
The odd slip is acceptable hence we have "excessive" in the swearing rule, the definition of excessive is when the admin says you have now crossed the line.
Again as SK says, no admin wants to be policing our members, we expect you to behave, follow the rules and make sure others do.
