HELP
Hi all.
ive recently set up an ebay account, and have sold a few things on it.
a couple of weeks ago i sold my phone at £310, after the auction ended i had a message from the winner asking me to send it to nigeria for an extra £110 on top of the ended auction price.
To make things fair, paypal contacted me saying "they have recieved £420 and are holding it" they wanted me to send the phone, and scan a copy of the reciept to prove ive sent the item, then as soon as they know its sent i will recieve my money....
its been about 2weeks and yet still no money.
I have his bank details etc, anyone who would kindly help me get my money back from this wanker would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Eskimo

You've just been scammed!
Contact ebay immediately!

Also, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES EVER SEND ANYTHING TO NIGERIA!

Was the item sent with insurance?

You may have a claim against the post office if the item never got there!

ebay do not usually hold money from you like that, check the details of the email, and check all of the links on it!

Also contact the police with the information you have, go into a police station to do it, you have been a victim of fraud!

Hi Myles,
Sorry to hear that you've been scammed!
I'm affraid you will never see your money / phone again.
False mail from Paypal , false receipt, jut a PO BOX....classical.
Maybe contact Paypal / Ebay and give them all the copy that you receive.

Sorry for you :(

Steve

Yep, all you can do is contact Paypal and ebay and hope for the best!
The emails were not from paypal, and also if you haven't done so already log into Paypal.com (DO NOT FOLLOW ANY OF THE LINKS IN THE EMAILS) and change your password!

You Paypal account may also have been comprimised!
