who has vista??

can you change file, as in add more txt? / C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

would i also need to right click file and set as admin too>??

all you do in xp is right click and insert txt then save as, how so vista don't let u??

or do u have to righ click file an use as administator? then insert txt.

close, you'll have to run the program opening the file as admin, so you'd have to find notepad.exe, right click that and run as administrator.


I use a hostmanager its easier and it'll download hosts files from mvps hosts and some other places and merge them with your current file automatically
