Steam may collect information about you aswell.

Sure, maybe not to the same extent as Origin. But at the same time, EA will never share your information to any third party without your consent...read the ToS

The site you linked doesn't say that the information shared by EA is COMPLETELY NON-PERSONAL and can't be tracked to you in any way.

Edit: Just realised they say that personal information will be shared with third parties. Which is a lie.

when would you ever buy a product (say 15 years ago) and sign up to the T&C of purchase with all this bollox..........

Reasonably sure agreeing to a EULA without reading it doesn't count as an act against your human rights.
