anyone transfered this to DVD?? ahm looking to transfer some hi8 video of my kid holidays etc etc, looking for any tips as to what is best and fastest to use to transfer...

hmm, not sure, i think you need a video capture card but i could be wrong.
let me know if you find something, i got loads of vids to transfer.

are hi8 video tape version if they are the only way i know is to use a dvd recorder then use somthing like nero to edit it that way but now a 100% sure if it can be done that way never tryed it myself

i heard DVDsanta can do it but i don't have that software :( , if ye plug straight into dvd yes it can be done but there's no editing which suxx.

i'll keep on looking.. thnx anywayzzz..

what do u mean nothing work properly?? when i googled the hi8 it came up with santadvd...

cant ye just plug yer camcorder straight into the pc and transfer the video??

ok found another one,,,Dazzle DVC 90 this unit seems to be the cheapest way, as you just plug it in with an svideo and the red,white and yellow cables.

gonna order one to see how it goes, if it works ok i'll post it over to you Davie so ye can do yer own transfers........




Edit. just found some reviews now on this and it seems to be not so gd at transfering..

could just be people not doing it right but hmmmmmm. i'll read more!!!!!!!..
