yer matteh. Am saying thats what made me buy nvidia . I don't recall seeing and fancy ATI intro. :)

I remember years ago with the Voodoo cards from 3Dfx (before they were bought my Nvidia), you used to get a rotating shiny 3Dfx logo appear as the game loaded when it detected the Voodoo hardware. The original Half-Life was the first game I saw do that. I think it was built into the drivers or something like that. I used to think it was cool (sad git!).
