yea, some of you probably recognized that ive got some heave problems with my sounds / mic!

this started over a year back, my mic goes (sometimes) like a robot.

I tried nearly everything, first i installed the newest drivers for my soundcard, nothing happened.
Then i bought 2 new Headsets, same result as before.
So i got a new soundcard, canceled the old one, activated the new one, added new drivers, same as above.

It changes if i start or close games. For example:
Yesterday evening, as Wavy and Stealth were online in TS, i joined them, my mic was Robot of course.
After a few times closing TS and Re-Join nothing happened, then i logged in to Steam that changed it back to normal. o0

I know, best idea would probably to get a new PC but i simply can't afford one, also this piece of **** was a ready 2 go PC from
Saturn. Cost me like 500€ and is almost 6 years old (i think). Everything is on-board.

Anyways, if anyone got some (good) ideas it'd be cool to let me know.

Thanx for that

Kaney <3

which soundcard and OS do you have?
most come with software that can change the input and output sounds. so, you can have effects added to your music or to your mic. could be something needs reset. it happened to me after i played around with the settings
creative soundcards are kinda hard to set up in vista but are fantastic in XP.
if anyones looking for a new soundcard, i got a creative X-Fi fatal1ty platinum edition 7.1 for sale, has the pci card, and the front panel with midi, fibre optic, spdif and phono inputs and mic, headphone, fibre optic and spdif outputs. as new and all cables and isks etc.

shame it doesn't come with DISKS, coz they'd be a lot more useful than ISKS :P

oh , and Kane, i have a similar problem when i join a game, i just press esc, and double click the server that am on in my server list, this ALWAYS fixes it. But if i try and sort it out in my Control Panel, i open sounds and audio devices > voice > test hardware, then it seems to be WAAAYYY TOOOOOOO sensative i get BAD ECHO, and cant turn NOTHING DOWN ! Just thought i'd let know, i am also on erm , Mic, NOT Line in . probly not helped you here, but thems my sound issues mate :) :dunno:

I have more or less the same troubles, when I am logged on onto teamspeak my CSS and BF2 ingame sound is complete apeshit, when I talk ingame when TS is not loaded all works perfect. bought also a 2 new sound card and several headsets still same problems.
Also my teamspeak sound goes beserk now and then fook knows what causes it, I only hear the others scream on teamspeak that my sound goes nuts again, it seems to be fooking loud hahahahahaha
at the end I have gave up trying to fix it.
